Born in 1965 in Mattersburg / Austria, where he still lives with his wife and two children. Started his musical activities with clarinet-lessons at the age of 8. Got his first job with the city marching band Mattersburg when he was 10. Four years later W.W. founded his own band performing light music.

While he was playing clarinet at the military band Burgenland, W. started studying classical contrabass and clarinet at the Josef-Haydn-conservatory Eisenstadt. Completed his studies with diploma in jazz-bass in Vienna.

W.W. is teaching at the music school in Eisenstadt and Mattersburg as well as at the Josef-Haydn-conservatory Eisenstadt.

Played in: Norway, France, UK, Canada, Netherlands, Switzerland, Germany and Austria.

Worked with: Threeo, Bob Berg, Rick Margitza, Billy Jenkins, Django Bates, Rick Latham, Alexander Goebel, Gandalf, Nicole, Andi Borg, Elisabeth Eng-stler, Stefanie Werger (Tour 99), Andi Baum, Dennis Jale (Rocking Christmas Tour 99 with Vienna Symphonic Orchestra), MO, Andi Lee Lang and more.

Was involved in several theatre- and musical-productions, radio and TV broad-casting shows, e.g. Burgtheater Vienna, Metropol Vienna, ORF (Austrian broadcasting community), BKF, Bavarian broadcasting community.

Performs with numerous bands and coaches studio productions as a composer, arranger or recording director.
